What Is Personal Data at Pure Bite?
At Pure Bite, we believe strongly in fundamental privacy rights — and that those fundamental rights should not differ depending on where you live in the world. That's why we treat any data that relates to an identified or identifiable individual or that is linked or linkable to them by Pure Bite as "personal data," no matter where the individual lives. This means that data that directly identifies you — such as your name — is personal data, and also data that does not directly identify you, but that can reasonably be used to identify you — such as the serial number of your device — is personal data. Aggregated data is considered non‑personal data for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy covers how Alexander Ryakhin (collectively, "Pure Bite") handles personal data whether you interact with us through our app or website. Pure Bite may also use third-party services in our app. Pure Bite's Privacy Policy does not apply to how third parties define personal data or how they use it. Your Privacy Rights at Pure Bite
At Pure Bite, we respect your ability to know, access, correct, transfer, restrict the processing of, and delete your personal data. We have provided these rights to our global customer base and if you choose to exercise these privacy rights, you have the right not to be treated in a discriminatory way nor to receive a lesser degree of service from Pure Bite. Where you are requested to consent to the processing of your personal data by Pure Bite, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

There may be situations where we cannot grant your request — for example, if you ask us to delete your transaction data and Pure Bite is legally obligated to keep a record of that transaction to comply with law. We may also decline to grant a request where doing so would undermine our legitimate use of data for anti-fraud and security purposes.
Personal Data Pure Bite Collects from You
At Pure Bite, we believe that you can have great products and great privacy. This means that we strive to collect only the personal data that we need. The personal data Pure Bite collects depends on how you interact with Pure Bite.
When you use the Pure Bite app, we may collect a variety of information, including:
- Device Information. Data from which your device could be identified, such as device serial number, or about your device, such as browser type and operating system version
- Usage Data. Data about your activity on and use of our app, such as app launches, including browsing history; search history; product interaction; crash data, performance and other diagnostic data; and other usage data
- Analytics Data. Anonymous usage analytics to help improve the app experience, collected through Firebase Analytics
You are not required to provide the personal data that we have requested. However, if you choose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to requests you may have.
Personal Data Stored Locally
Pure Bite stores the following data locally on your device and does not transmit it to our servers:
- Your saved recipes
- Your shopping list items
- Your app preferences and settings
This data remains on your device and is never collected or transmitted by Pure Bite.
Personal Data Pure Bite Receives from Other Sources
Pure Bite may receive personal data about you from third-party services that work with us to provide our products and services:
- Spoonacular API. We use the Spoonacular API to provide recipe data. When you search for recipes, this information is sent to Spoonacular to retrieve the requested data.
- Firebase Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage analytics. This service is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
How Pure Bite Uses Your Personal Data
Pure Bite uses your personal data to power our services, to process your transactions, to communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also use your personal data for other purposes with your consent.
We use personal data to power our services, which includes processing operations such as:
- Providing recipe search and discovery features
- Storing your saved recipes and shopping lists locally on your device
- Improving app performance and fixing bugs
- Understanding how users interact with the app to make improvements
Sharing of Personal Data
Pure Bite does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers. We share anonymous analytics data with Firebase Analytics (Google) as described above
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests
We do NOT share your locally stored data (recipes, shopping lists) with anyone, as this data never leaves your device.
Your Privacy Choices
You can control analytics data collection in several ways:
- iOS Settings: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, and disable "Share iPhone Analytics"
- No Impact on Functionality: Disabling analytics will not affect the core functionality of the app
Data Security
At Pure Bite, we believe that great privacy rests on great security. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data, taking into account the nature of the personal data and the processing, and the threats posed. We are constantly working to improve these safeguards to help keep your personal data secure.
Data Retention
Local Data: Your saved recipes and shopping list items are stored locally on your device and remain there until you delete the app or manually remove them.
Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
Children's Privacy
Pure Bite is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at xander1100001@gmail.com, and we will take steps to delete such information.
International Users
If you are using the app from outside the United States, please note that anonymous analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States by Firebase (Google). Your locally stored data (recipes, shopping lists) never leaves your device and is not transferred internationally.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Updated" date at the top of this policy.
