Privacy policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026. This policy describes how the Guaraní Currency Converter mobile app (“the app”) processes information. We keep the app focused on utility and do not require an account.
What we collect through the app
The app does not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the converter. There is no sign-in.
Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (for example, opening history, swapping currencies, or when a rate fallback is used). These events help us improve stability and product decisions. They are associated with an anonymous installation identifier as described in Google’s documentation.
This marketing website (pages hosted under our public site URL) uses Google Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to measure page views and how visitors use the site. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Crash reporting
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash logs when something goes wrong. Logs can include device model, OS version, and stack traces. They do not intentionally include the amounts or currencies you enter; avoid sharing sensitive numbers in free-text fields if those are added in the future.
Remote configuration
The app may fetch remote configuration values (for example, backup rate data) from Firebase Remote Config. This uses the same Firebase project as analytics and crash reporting.
Network requests
To obtain exchange rates, the app contacts our service providers over the internet. Those requests include technical data typical of HTTPS traffic (for example, IP address and timestamps as seen by the server). We use that data only to operate the service and protect it from abuse.
Data stored on your device
Conversion history you choose to keep is stored locally on your device using the system’s data storage. It is not uploaded to our servers as part of normal app operation. Uninstalling the app removes that local data unless your device backup restores it.
Safari extension (web page access)
If you enable the Safari extension, Safari will ask for permission to read and modify the content of websites you visit. This access is required so the extension can detect PYG price formats on the page and insert an approximate conversion next to them.
The extension does not require an account. It does not intentionally collect or transmit the page content you view. Exchange-rate requests are used only to calculate conversions. You can revoke website access at any time in Safari settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
